BCAC’s Representative Payee Program
The Representative Payee Program provides basic money management support to Social Security beneficiaries who require assistance managing funds and finances. The program acts as the institutional representative or “rep” payee for individuals and families to ensure that those who receive Social Security income are able to pay their rent, utilities, and other expenses in full and on time. BCAC’s Representative Payee staff also support clients in negotiating past debts and repayment plans with the debtors, with the overall goal of encouraging financial stability. maximizing available resources, and enhancing the beneficiary’s quality of life. The program also provides financial education through budget counseling, ongoing financial literacy training and connections to other relevant services in the community.
